Ganderkesee, state-approved rest and relaxation area in the Wildeshauser Geest, offers you a variety of attractions for a wonderful holiday or a short stay.
- Enjoy the beautiful nature. A special highlight is the 630 hectare (1 557 acre) Hasbruch Wood with its primeval forest.
- Visit some very fascinating buildings: The Church of St. Cyprian and Cornelius for instance is widely known for its magnificently decorated organ, built in 1699 by the famous organ builder Arp Schnitger with approximately 1 000 pipes. The oldest parts of this church date back to the 12th Century.
- Discover the interesting history of this town. The huge gravestones in Stenum and Steinkimmen date back to the Stone Age.
- Relax in the newly opened (February 2012) sauna (“SaunaHuus”) with five different
sauna types, includign a herbal sauna.
